Sue Venable-Shelton is an experienced educator with 27 years of dedicated service in the field of education. She has been a passionate advocate for agricultural education and CTE, having served as an Agriculture Education Instructor and Department Chair for 24 years. During her tenure, she has inspired countless students to pursue careers in agriculture and has been instrumental in developing innovative curricula and programs.In addition to her role as an agriculture education instructor, Sue has also been an outstanding leader in career and technical education (CTE). For 6 years, she served as the Division CTE Liaison, where she worked tirelessly to strengthen the collaboration between CTE programs and other academic disciplines. Her visionary leadership and strategic planning have resulted in improved student outcomes, increased enrollment, and enhanced partnerships with local businesses and industries.In recognition of her exceptional contributions to CTE, Sue was promoted to the position of Supervisor for Career and Technical Education, a role she has held for 2 years. In this capacity, she has overseen the development and implementation of CTE programs across the school division, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the workforce. She has also been actively involved in shaping state-level policies related to CTE, advocating for increased funding and resources to support CTE programs and elevate their status in the educational landscape.
