As school leaders, we dedicate time, plans, resources and collaborative meetings to make vision statements such as this come to life in our schools. Yet, despite our best leadership efforts, these statements and improvement documents are often developed by a few, read by fewer, and inspire even less. The question becomes ‘How can we find a way to move from creating visions, mission statements, plans and ‘words on the wall’ to engaging those we lead to have observable impact, the impact that we can actually SEE in our classrooms?’.  Introducing the Observable Impact Model, the model used in districts and schools across the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Asia to help leaders connect their leadership actions and improvement efforts to classroom impact while building teacher and leader efficacy in the process.
