Sarah Dornan has worked for Spotsylvania County Public Schools since 2001 as a classroom teacher and earned the award, SCPS New Teacher of the Year. Sarah transitioned to be a school librarian in 2004 until 2022 where she focused on creating life-long readers. Her passion is instructional technologies including robotics, coding, virtual reality, 3D Printing, and web design. She served as the Secondary Library Liaison for several years and was named the VAASL Rappahannock Regional Librarian of the Year. After serving as an Instructional Innovation Specialist for two and a half years in SCPS, Sarah returned to her passion as a school librarian at Ni River Middle School in 2025.
