This professional development session will support high school administrators and instructional coaches in using walk-through insights to enhance history instruction. Focusing on evidence-based Instruction, historical thinking, and balanced Assessments, participants will explore how to guide teachers in implementing rigorous balanced assessment plans and historical inquiry. The session will cover how to observe and provide feedback on teachers' use of historical evidence, source analysis, and critical thinking. Administrators and coaches will also learn how to support the use of Pop-Up Learning Labs to engage students in complex historical inquiry and argumentation, ensuring alignment with the new 2023 History Standards.
