As instructional leaders, administrators play a critical role in setting first-year teachers up for success. This session equips school leaders with a focused lens on high-leverage practices (HLPs) that have the greatest impact on novice teacher effectiveness and retention. Participants will explore how to identify, model, and coach around core HLPs in areas such as instruction, behavior support, and collaboration. Through real-world scenarios, planning tools, and reflective discussion, administrators will leave with actionable strategies to create targeted support systems that build confidence, competence, and connection for beginning teachers—starting on day one.
