A unit’s emphasis on scientific inquiry, the 5E instructional model, and sensemaking develops long-term understanding rather than surface learning. In this session, participants will explore how school leaders can support the design and implementation of a science-focused year to enhance student curiosity, deepen their knowledge of scientific content, and strengthen instructional practices.
